Obituary of Juan Manuel De Luna

JUAN MANUEL DE LUNA MISSION - Juan Manuel DeLuna,72, entered eternal rest on May 4, 2022, in McAllen, Tx surrounded by his family. Juan Manuel (Meme), was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Sanchez; his sons: Saul De Luna and Ruben De Luna; parents: Esther Flores and Santiago De Luna; sister, Ernestina De Luna Cabral. Juan Manuel (Meme) lived his life to the fullest. He was truly a jack of all trades. He was a good friend to all and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He raised his family in Indio, CA where he had his own landscaping business. Soon after, he returned to his hometown of Mission, TX. His love of family was beyond measure. He enjoyed working with his hands and shared his knowledge of horticulture with anyone who would listen and even left many friends dumbfounded at his smarts! Family gatherings in his presence were sure to be full of laughter. He always took center stage and was the life of the party. Meme lived his life to the fullest. He lived it his way and on his terms. Juan Manuel De Luna is survived by his daughter, Christina De Luna Clagett and sons Juan Manuel De Luna, Jr., Saul, Moises and Gabriel; sisters: Maria de la Luz Garcia DeLuna, America De Luna, Consolacion Garcia, Evangelina Gutierrez, Maricela Perez, Saul (Mary) Garcia, Santiago (Sylvia) De Luna, Jr, Carlos (Rosa) De Luna, Rene (Graciela) De Luna, significant other, Sylvia Elizondo; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Special Thanks are given to the Comfort House (Non profit organization) for all of their care and help during Juan Manuel’s stay.
