Obituary of Alma Rosa Reyes

ALMA ROSA REYES DONNA - On April 19, 2022, Alma Rosa Reyes passed away peacefully surrounded by her kids, mother and lifetime partner, in San Jose, California. Alma was born on August 30, 1966 in Mercedes , Texas, to Margarito M. Reyes and Hermina D Reyes. She is proceeded in death by her father Margarito M. Reyes. If anyone knew Alma they would know that she was the life of the party. Alma would just light up the room as soon as she entered. Her love for music was inevitable. Tejano was her thing. She would be the first person on the dance floor as soon as the music got going. Her laugh was contagious to others. Her vibrant personality would just consume you. In 2020 Alma began to travel to California to work in labor work. Little did she know that she would meet another remarkable woman to spend the rest of her life with, Maria Guadalupe Diaz. Together they traveled through the mountains of California to enjoy the sights God put on this earth Alma will be missed by all her family and friends, but we understand that she is now resting in the arms of God. Her Legacy will continue thru her family. Ms. Reyes is survived by her five beautiful children; Oscar Ramirez Jr (Diana), Orlando Ramirez (Sofia), Aleyda Alejandra Reyes (Guillermo), Rene Ortiz Jr (Amy), and Anayeli Ortiz (Brian); three siblings, Abel Reyes and Armando Reyes (Diana) and Aracely Reyes Garcia (Omar); four grandchildren, Kayla, Scarlett, Rhea, and Penelope; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral serves are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
