Alicia L. Muro
Alicia Longoria Muro, 91, entered the kingdom of the Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at her residence in McAllen. Alicia was born on May 13, 1924, in Mission, Texas to Leonarda Cavazos and Agripin Longoria. She was a medical transcriptionist most of her life and worked for several physicians in McAllen. She also worked at McAllen General Hospital in the radiology and medical records department. Her last employment was with McAllen Medical Center in the medical records department. We will miss her dearly as will all her friends and relatives. She was a very hard-working lady who loved her children dearly and encouraged them to pursue their education so that they could be self-sufficient if necessary and could have a good future.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro Muro, Sr.; a grandson, Tommy Hutchinson; parents, Leonarda and Agripin Longoria; sisters, Gertrudis Zamora and Lydia Cala; brothers, Adalberto Longoria and Rodolfo Longoria.
Mrs. Muro is survived by her three daughters, Belinda (Nasario) Macias, Norma Anzaldua and Cindy (David) Hutchinson; her son, Alex (Adriana) Muro, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their care and support. Many thanks to her caregivers, Maria Elena, Letty and Linda who took care of her during her time of need. Mom, we love you and will miss you. We will have you in our hearts always. Rest in peace.
