JOSE CRUZ MARTINEZ
EDINBURG - Jose Cruz Martinez, 82, entered eternal rest Thursday, March 31, 2022, in McAllen. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Maria del Refugio Martinez; three siblings, Agustin Martinez, Fidel Martinez, and Audelia Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Maria Louisa Martinez; eight children, Martin (Diana) Martinez, Matilde North, Rosie Zacher, Cruz Martinez Jr., Jesus Martinez, Blanca Prado, Elida Prado, and Edwin Prado Gonzalez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four siblings, Simon Martinez, Juan Martinez, Juana Martinez and Ciro Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
