Obituary of Loretta Shea Campbell

LORETTA SHEA CAMPBELL EDINBURG- Our beloved, Loretta Shea Campbell, 24, tragically passed away on the 16th of March due to an unexpected seizure at her family home in Edinburg, TX. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George Campbell Sr. and Juanita Campbell, and her godfather, Artemio Sandoval. Loretta was born on November 21st, 1997 in McAllen, Texas to George Campbell Jr. and Aida Lopez Canales, (Horacio Canales Jr.). Loretta was currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and expected to graduate December 2022. Loretta loved to play the clarinet, football and basketball. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and going dancing, she also loved spending time in the kitchen when she was home. Loretta loved being our wild child, but most of all she loved her baby girl, Athena. Her favorite color was yellow, like the sunshine she brought to everyone she met. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Athena Sky Atisa. Her siblings, Elida Mariah Canales, Ruben Moreno Jr., Luiz Thomas Alejandro (Kathleen Perez), Anastacio Felipe Lopez IV, Ayisa D. Canales, J.C. Canales, Drake Canales, Jasmine June Campbell, Jenice Campbell, Jamal C. Campbell, George (Jacob) Campbell lll, and Jawon V. Campbell. Grandparents, Anastacio F. Lopez Jr. and Adelaida O. Lopez. Uncles and aunts, Anastacio F. Lopez III (Nancy L. Lopez), Judy Lopez (Jaime Arrebalo). Cousins, Johnny Lee Lopez, Iris Nicole Lopez, Kay Lynn Lopez, Esmeralda Lopez and Dulce Milagros López. Nieces, Ruby Lynn Moreno and Roslynn Lillian Lopez, and many more family members not mentioned. Special thanks to Adelaida O. Lopez for always going the extra mile to take care of Loretta, Belinda G. Morales, and her godmother, Maria Elisa Sandoval. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
