My deepest condolences to the Valdez family. My family and I have been honored to know the Valdez family for many years, since I was a young kid. I am now an adult and always have BEAUTIFUL memories of Mr. Valdez and Basi being the most loving and kind couple we have ever known. Mr. Valdez was always so kind hearted and the most sincere individual that even if you didn't know him, he would treat everyone with kindness and respect. Heaven has gained an AMAZING ANGEL.

Daddy, when I was 8 you told me to always follow my dreams of being a singer, you built with your own hands a stage at the house for me so I can practice, then we started having concerts, that was because you made it happen, I still remember when you bought me my first microphone I was so young and so happy, my music career has been one of the most happiest years of my LIFE, & that’s because you never let me give up. Thank you for everything it’s hard that I will never see you again but thank you for helping me when I was a child to chase my dreams and never give up! I feel honored and would brag about you being my daddy all the time, I miss you, your only son -Alemva
