BRENDA VALLEJO
EDINBURG- Brenda Vallejo, 62, entered eternal rest Monday, January 24, 2022 in Edinburg texas surrounded by her family and was born in Monroe Louisiana. Mrs. Vallejo was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Vallejo Sr.; parents, Robert and Dolly Sue Horton; sister, Dianne Horton.
She was a loving caring strong wife, mother, sister, grandma and great-grandma who loved music and art. She traveled around the United States as a pianist who loved Jesus with all her heart. Her grandchildren will always remember her christmas cookies and traditional southern cooking. Her smile will remain in our hearts of her children who love her so deeply. She will be missed and remembered by her strong leadership of being a mother, friend, pianist and most of all her love.
Our mother was an inspiring soul, always there for all who came to her with their troubles. Her home was open to everyone and her hospitality made them feel important. She was one of the most loving, humble, compassionate, understanding, family orientated woman and one of the most beautiful souls one could ever meet we am going to miss you mom you were precious, a gift from God, so much beauty, grace, love and patience you possessed. You touched my heart in so many ways even on our darkest days, your strength and smile made me realize we had an angel beside us.
Mrs. Vallejo is survived by five children, Jennifer (Michael) Trevino, Antonio (Marol) Vallejo III, Andrew Vallejo, Crystal (Jorge) Loredo and Sophia (Bryan) Reyna; 18 grandchildren, Ashley, Robert, Johnathan, Joshua, Andrew, Anthony, Ismael, Micheal, Emeryn, Sidney, Brittney, Jorge, Jasmine, Georgia, Alejandro, Antonio, Brianna and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Agape and Emma; two maternal uncles, Robert and Michael Horton; maternal aunt, Sarah Horton Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 11 a.m Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapel in Edinburg.
