Obituary of Lorraine Iglesias

LORRAINE IGLESIAS EDINBURG - Lorraine Iglesias, 58, entered eternal rest Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Edinburg. Ms. Iglesias was preceded in death by her parents, Apolinar and Gloria Iglesias. Lorraine loved hard, worked hard, and fought hard! There was never a dull moment when she was around. If she wasn’t cheering (loudly) for her favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys, then she was dancing her heart out or making someone laugh with her crazy antics! Lorraine was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and “cunni” who always wanted the very best for everyone around her and she made sure everyone knew it! She was one of the strongest, most confident, strong-willed, and opinionated woman there ever was. Lorraine was so proud to be a Sergeanette of Edinburg High School and enjoyed working at ECISD. “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.” ~Unknown Ms. Iglesias is survived by her two children, Aaron (Yvonne) Garza, and Jessica (Ernesto) Alaniz; five grandchildren, Ernie, Amber, Kayden, Jizelle, and Audrianna; two sisters, Becky (Sam) Lucio, and Yvonne Yvette Iglesias; two brothers, Jose Luis (Angie) Iglesias, and Gene Gerald (Amanda) Iglesias; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a 2 p.m. rosary, Friday, November 26, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
