Obituary of Harold Wayne Mason

HAROLD WAYNE MASON 2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. EDINBURG - Harold Wayne Mason, 77, entered eternal rest Thursday November 4th, 2021 in Edinburg, surrounded by his family at home. Harold was preceded in death by his parents Harry Lee and Dorothy Mason; his mother-in-law, Aurora Ochoa; his sisters-in-law, Rene and Theresa Mason and a grandson, Tripp Carlson. Harold was the sweetest, most loving husband and father to all of his children and grandchildren. He was loved by so many of his friends and family. He devoted his life to supporting them all watching volleyball, soccer, and football games nearly every other weekend. In his free time, he loved to fish, build cabinets, cook the most delicious meals, and spend time with his loved ones. His craftsmanship and creativity never went unnoticed by all of those who witnessed his skills in cabinetry. Harold is survived by his wife, Diana Ruelas Mason; three children, Tamra Mason-Hilborn (Charles), Michael Mason, and Garrett Mason; three grandchildren, Foster and Levi Hilborn, and Landon Mason; his sister, Kathy Mason; his brothers, Donald “Sonny” Mason, Tommy Mason, and Dennis Mason (Debbie); numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
