Obituary of Ramiro Bustos

RAMIRO BUSTOS DONNA - Ramiro Bustos, 68, entered eternal rest with God on Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Weslaco, Texas. Mr. Bustos was preceded in death by his parents, Natividad M. and Esperanza Bustos; his brother, Roberto Bustos. Ramiro graduated from Donna High School in 1972 and shortly after enlisted in the US Navy. He attended Pan American University in Edinburg. Mr. Bustos was previously employed by the McAllen Fire Department, Ed Payne Motors, McAllen Orthopedic Center, and Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic. Mr. Bustos is survived by his wife, Consuelo Bustos; two children, Ramiro (Esperanza) Bustos Jr.,and Laura (Rey) Urbina; nine grandchildren, Briana, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Christian, Rey, Mathew, Ethan, Desirae, and Liam; two great-grandchildren, Brileigh and Jaymes; five siblings, Minerva (Albert) Martinez, Noelia (Ignacio) Torres, Sylvia (Apolonio) Salinas, Manuel (Blanca) Bustos, and Reynaldo (Mari) Bustos; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission with full military honors. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
