MARIA GUADALUPE HERNANDEZ MCALLEN - Maria Guadalupe Hernandez, 75, entered eternal rest Friday, August 27, 2021, in Mission. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her parents, Heliodoro and Maria Antonia Garcia. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband, Jose D. Hernandez; four children, Maria Del Jesus (Carlos Javier) Moreno, Jose Gonzalo (Idalia) Hernandez, Nora Harris, and Jose De La Luz (Luz) Hernandez Jr.; twelve grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jose G. Garcia, Juanita Valadez, Delicia Todaro, and Casimiro Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
