Obituary of Jose M. Aguilar Jr.

JOSE M. AGUILAR JR. MCALLEN - Jose M. Aguilar Jr., 47, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Edinburg. Jose M. Aguilar Jr. or as he is most known as “Joe,” was a dedicated and humble God-fearing man. He enjoyed football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Houston Rockets, and the Houston Astros. He loved dancing and making memories. He loved to smile and make others laugh and always lent a helping hand to those in need. He shared the gospel with others and lived one day at a time trusting God always. Mr. Aguilar is survived by his four children, Valentino Luke Aguilar, Anthony J. Cardenas, Melody A. Nava, and Bella S. Nava; fiancé, Vanessa Salazar; his parents, Jose M. and Maria S. Aguilar; two brothers, Juan M. (Laura) Aguilar, and Homero Aguilar; two sisters , Norma L. Aguilar, and Merelin J. Aguilar; five nieces and nephews, Brianna, Aaron, Caryssa, Carla, and Diego; numerous aunts, uncles, and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
