Obituary of Griselda Hernandez

Edinburg, Texas Griselda Hernandez,50, entered eternal sleep Thursday, July 15, 2021 surrounded by her family in Edinburg. Kris, as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, was born November 8, 1970 in Mexico to Teofilo and Zenaida (Canchola) Barrera. She lived in San Juan for a few years, graduated from PSJA Class of 1989. When she married she moved to Edinburg until her passing. Kris loved being a beautician, she enjoyed going to thrift stores, making jewelry, and being around family and friends. Kris will be forever remembered and loved by her family and those that came to know her. She was preceded in death by her father, her brothers-Rodolfo Barrera and Teofilo Barrera Jr. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved family; Her Husband- Rogelio Hernandez; Her Children- Brittnay Hernandez, Roy Nathan Hernandez, Wendy Hernandez, Troy Hernandez, Brandy Rodriguez Hernandez; Her mother- Zenaida Barrera; Her grandchildren- Emily, Elsa, Elena, London, Lincoln, Luciano; Her Siblings-Tomasa Barrera, Rosario Soto Barrera, Zenaida Banuelos Barrera, Carlos Barrera. Visitation for Kris will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 PM at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. No other services will be held. Cremation will follow at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
