Obituary of Omar Jaime Garza

OMAR JAIME GARZA EDINBURG - Omar Jaime Garza, 64, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Mission. Mr. Garza was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Omar C. Garza. Mr. Garza was a proud graduate of St. Mary's Law School in San Antonio and was an Assistant District Attorney for Hidalgo County for over 20 years. He was a member of Baptist Temple in McAllen and was a proud advocate for Challenged Sportsmen of America. Mr. Garza is survived by his three daughters, Andrea (Jaime) Fernandez, Analisa (Parker) Jackson, and Anyssa Garza; his grandson, Lucas James Fernandez; his mother, Dora Garza; four siblings, Alma Garza, Christopher Garza, Nellie (Michael J.) Martin, Diana "Dee Dee" Adame; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
