VERNON RILEY ROSSER
MCALLEN - Vernon Riley Rosser, 78, entered eternal sleep Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Edinburg. Mr. Rosser was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mozelle Rosser; his siblings, Zella Mae Slaughter, Charles Edward Rosser, Benjamin Rolland Rosser, Robert A. Rosser, and Donald Wayne Rosser.
Vernon was a proud veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a life time law enforcement officer moving thru the ranks of patrolman to investigations till finally Chief of Police where he retired from the City of Hidalgo.
Mr. Rosser is survived by his wife, Susana Rosser; four children, Paola (Walter) Plaza, Susan (Eric DeWeese) Furber, Patricia Rosser, and Shannon Rosser; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m to 7 p.m. with a 3 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
