Obituary of Vicente Bautista Sr.

VICENTE BAUTISTA SR EDINBURG - On Friday April 09 Vicente Bautista Sr, loving husband and father of 6 children, passed away at the age of 89. Vicente was born on January 22, 1932 to Martin Bautista and Piedad (Pia) Sigala in Jalisco Mexico. Vicente was a hard working ranch foreman. Vicente and his wife Benita Bautista, raised six children on a cattle ranch in San Manuel, Tx, where they taught them the value of hard work, education, family and life. He loved baseball, family gatherings, dancing, singing, and loved making people laugh. He began a legacy that will continue for generations to come. Mr. Bautista is survived by his wife Benita Bautista; three daughters, Nancy (Gilbert) Yañez, Jeni (J. Jesus) Marin, Silvia (Jorge) Marin; three sons, Vicente (Carla) Bautista Jr, Hector (Maria) Bautista, Efrain (Yvonne) Bautista; 21 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Baldomero Bautista, Julio Bautista, and Eliodoro Bautista; numerous nieces and nephews who loved him. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
