MANUEL "MANNY" IBARRA EDINBURG - On Saturday April 03, 2021, Manuel "Manny" Ibarra, son, brother, father and friend passed away at the age of 36. He leaves behind his beloved children Katelynn Ibarra and Dominick Cruz; his parents, Maria Valle and Jim Ibarra; three brothers, James, David, and Carlos Ibarra; his sister-in-law, Lauren Ibarra; maternal grandmother, Josefa Cardona; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many loving friends. After graduating from Edinburg North High School and attending STC, he held several jobs around our area before working in the oil field industry in West Texas. After 4 years, he left that job to be closer to home and his kids. He then took a position with Peacocks Shot Bar and has since been promoted to regional manager. His famous height, smile and quick wit drew people to him, but it was his big heart and kind spirit that made people love him. Manny's world was people, and Katelynn was at the center of it. He would do anything for her and anyone else. He was a kind, confident, and honorable guardian to our community. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. prayer service, Friday, April 9, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. It will be followed by a private dinner. Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday April 10, 2021, in Edinburg.
