Obituary of Daniel Puente

DANIEL "DAN" PUENTE Daniel "Dan" Puente, 54, was called home by the Lord on March 23, 2021, in McAllen Tx. Dan was born on October 10, 1966 in San Juan, Texas and was raised in Pharr, Texas. Dan met the love of his life; Oralia April 30, 1989 and married on July 4, 1998. Mr. Puente was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Eva Puente; his brother, Hector Puente. Dan was a beloved husband, father of 3 amazing children to Brandon, Abigail and Isaac, grandfather, brother and friend. Those who knew Dan will always remember him as an extraordinary person. Dan had a smile that lit up the room anywhere he would be, a giving heart and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Dan was extremely family oriented and a remarkable father and grandfather. He enjoyed to spend his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies, spending time with his family, friends, working on projects around his home, spending time with his dogs, riding his motorcycles and working on cars. As stated Dan was an amazing husband, father, brother, friend, to many; a father figure and so much more. He will always be remembered for his kind and generous heart. Dan truly lived his life to the fullest, he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and lifelong friendships. Mr. Puente is survived by his wife Oralia D. Puente; three children, Brandon (Ashley K.) Puente, Abigail (Omar) Alonzo, Isaac Puente; his granddaughter, Aaliyah V. Puente; four siblings, Gracie (Ruben) Rodriguez, Jose (Lolis) Puente, Mario (Amy) Puente, Albert (Lisa) Puente; sister-in-law, Laura Puente; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m prayer service Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
