Obituary of Dorothy Ramirez McAllen – Dorothy Ramirez, 82, entered eternal rest Saturday, March 13, 2021, in Donna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustavo Ramirez; sister, Norma Daniels; and by her parents, Altiman and Louise. She is survived by daughter, Elisa Johnson (Marc); sister, Sylvia Rodriguez; four brothers-in-law, Jose, Antonio, Alejandro, and Polinar Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ramirez received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked 25 years as a registered nurse, specializing in Intensive Care Medicine, she then retired to enjoy traveling with her husband, Gustavo. She devoted her life to helping others and mentored anyone willing to learn from her vast experiences and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Road, Edinburg, with a blessing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
