MARY L. VILLARREAL MCALLEN - Mary L. Villarreal, 65, entered eternal rest Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in McAllen surrounded by her family. Mrs. Villarreal was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Bertha Galindo; two brothers, Jose and Daniel Galindo. Mrs. Villarreal was a social worker with the LRGVDC and the state of Texas for over 25 years. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren whom she was very proud of. She will be dearly missed by all those whose life she touched. Mrs. Villarreal is survived by her husband, Rene A. Villarreal; two children, Bertha Isabel (John) Rodriguez, Alfredo Garza Jr.; five grandchildren, Roxanna, Kassandra, Adriana, Alfredo III, and Estrella; seven siblings, Reynaldo (Isabel) Galindo, Rosendo (Marisol) Galindo, Jose Luis (Gloria) Galindo, Bertha (Albert) Mata, Diana Cantu, Juan (Romelia) Galindo, and George (Janie) Galindo; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
