Obituary of Luciano Guerra

LUCIANO GUERRA PHARR - Luciano Guerra, 91, entered eternal rest Sunday, February 21, 2021, in Pharr surrounded by his family. Mr. Guerra was preceded in death by his wife, Corina Y. Guerra; his son, Efrain Nava; his parents, Silvestre and Francisca Guerra; four siblings, Alvaro Guerra, Gumaro Guerra, Mario Guerra, and Benilde G. Garza. Mr. Guerra was a proud Veteran having served in the US Army. He enjoyed being a Drive-Shaft Mechanic, the outdoors to include: Hunting, Fishing, and Ranch life. Luciano will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him. Mr. Guerra is survived by his eight children, Gustavo Nava, Sulema (Anastacio) Nerio, Arnoldo (Guadalupe) Guerra, Odilon (Cristina) Guerra, Delfina (Jesus) Islas, David (Mary) Guerra, Irma (Robert) Garza and Ricardo (Elvira) Zapata; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Rolando Guerra; two sisters-in-law, Eloisa M. Guerra, and Elia P. Guerra; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg with full military honors. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
