How I will miss you! You were a tower of strength, stability, and common sense. Like your sister, Dolores, stated, you were a never-ending well of giving and strong support, just like your parents. Aunt Lucy, Mario, Dolores, Lucy, and David,
I am so very sorry for the passing of Louie. I am just heartbroken. Please know that if Carl and I were able, we would be there to celebrate his life with you.
The last time I saw Louie was when we all saw each other at Uncle Chuy’s funeral. Such a fine and kind hearted cousin.

Luis was part of our family at a very early age in our lives. When we were 15 years old I believe, he asked me if he could take my sister on a date. I will never forget that respect he showed me at such an early time in our lives. I responded, "I do not know, did you ask her?" How could I say no?
We were in Houston together in the 80's. Louie and I went to many Astro games together. Those were great times. Especially in 1986 when we were able to go to game 6 of the NL Championship when the Astros faced the Mets. Thank God they quit selling beer in the 12th inning. It was crazy! It is hard to believe that was 35 years ago.
We had many good times back in the day. We unfortunately had some dark times as well. But we made it through. I was so glad that he was able to find the love of his life when he returned to the RGV. He deserved nothing but love in his life.
It is true, he was one of the most giving, selfless people I have ever known. He wanted nothing for himself until those around them had what they needed or wanted.
Lovey, you will always be my cuñado. I will love you forever.

Hal, thanks for sharing such a great tribute on behalf of Luis. I grew up with him and spent many times with him, as he lived next door to my family - the Carrier's. He was so much fun to be around and always smiling!!! I pray that you are doing well. His passing reminds all of us of how precious life is and that faith in God and having eternal life, are what matters most! Lord bless you my friend! - Kenny
