RUBEN VERA
PHARR - Ruben Vera, 82, entered eternal rest Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Pharr surrounded by his family. Mr. Vera was preceded in death by his son, Jose Vera; his great-grandson, Elijah Garza; his parents, Mateo and Soledad Vera; eleven siblings, Enrique, Victoriano, Libradita, Telesforo, Arturo, Mateo Jr., Americo, Antonio, Matias, Enriqueta, and Manuel.
Mr. Vera is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Lozano Vera; six children, Guadalupe Vera, Olivia Vera, Nilda Unruh, Ruben Vera Jr., Juana De Hoyos, and Mateo Vera; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Sunday January 24, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday January 25, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
