Obituary of Jose D. Cuellar

Jose D. Cuellar, 84, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Mr. Jose D. Cuellar was born on April 6, 1930 in Brownsville, Texas to Tomasa Doria Cuellar and Evaristo Cuellar. He enjoyed building cabinets and all kinds of carpentry work. After retiring from carpentry work, he went on to do ministry work for the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tomasa Doria Cuellar and Evaristo Cuellar; sisters Maria De La Luz Garcia and Maria Luisa Cabrera, and brother Celso Cuellar. Mr. Jose D. Cuellar is survived by his loving wife (married for 62 years) Lilia Montes Cuellar, his children Tomas Cuellar, Esmeralda E. Hernandez, Celso J. Cuellar, and Gene Cuellar. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 9:00am, on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg with a 2:00pm chapel service. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. The Family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
