McAllen- Raul "Apa" Martinez, passed away on January 9, 2015 at his residence in McAllen. He was born on February 12, 1950 to Florencio and Teresa Martinez. Raul was the owner of Momo's Ropa Usada, Inc., in McAllen. He is survived by his caring and devoted wife, Raquel Martinez; children, Rosie (Dagoberto) Magallan, Cindy Gutierrez, Sara Gutierrez, Julio (Isidra) Gutierrez, Jr., Annette Martinez; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Gloria Villanueva, Narciso Martinez, Guadalupe Salinas, Margarita Aguilar, Nereyda Ortiz, Jose Alvaro Martinez, and Rodolfo Martinez. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 11, 2015 between the hours of five and nine o'clock in the evening with a rosary at seven at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. The Funeral Mass will be at two o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in McAllen, celebrated by Monsignor Louis Brum. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Serving as pallbearers will be: Julio Gutierrez, Javier Tijerina, Omar Tijerina, Jacobo Magallan, Julio A. Gutierrez, and Dagoberto Magallan. The Family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
