Obituary of Estela Kelly

Please share a memory of Estela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Longtime McAllen resident Estela Kelly left us to sing with the angels on December 1, 2014, at age 88. Born in Laredo, Texas, she met and married the love of her life on a beautiful February afternoon. Together, they raised and loved their daughter, Connie and their three sons; Ricky, Danny and Eddie. Estela had a sparkling personality and an incredible lust for laughter. She loved delicious food and good company. She was an excellent story teller with a singing voice that could soothe the most broken of hearts. The love she had for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. She will be missed dearly by anyone who had the grand pleasure of making her smile. She is survived by her sons, Richard Lee Kelly (Margie) of New Braunfels, Daniel Roy Kelly (Terri) of McAllen and Edward Kelly (Sylvia) of McAllen; grandchildren Crystal Lee, Asia Ann, Ashleen, Aubrey, Amberly, Serene Abigail, Robert Lee, Danielle Rae and Christian; great-grandchildren Maxon Liam, Judah Daniel and Margarita Della; and sister, Bea Jenson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie and her husband, Homer Edward. A celebration of her life will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg. "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when. But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day." The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
