McAllen- Ponciano Salinas, born on March 9, 1928 in La Villa, Texas, passed away on October 27, 2014 in Edinburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Micaela Tomasa Salinas, brothers, Daniel, Jacobo, Ernesto and Roberto Salinas. He is survived by four children, Ponciano Salinas, Jr., Aracelis Rendon (Roberto), Raul Salinas (Neshme), and Marisela Kalifa (Leo), 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Miguel Salinas, Johnny Salinas, Elvira Solorio, Ana Maria Sanchez, and Aurora Hernandez. Visitation will be take place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. Chapel Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. "If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven, and bring you home again. We will miss you viejito grunon. The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
