JORGE A. MELENDEZ SANCHEZ
MCALLEN - Jorge A. Melendez Sanchez, 61, entered eternal rest Thursday, July 9, 2020, at his son's residence in McAllen with his family by his side. Jorge was born in Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico on May 2, 1959 to Fabian and Maria Melendez. Mr. Melendez was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jaime Martinez.
Jorge had a great sense of humor no matter the situation. He loved telling jokes until the very end. His was greatly loved by his all of his family and will be forever in our hearts.
Mr. Melendez is survived by his three children, Jorge A. (Kathi) Melendez Jr., Rosendeo W. (Monica) Melendez, and Jacqueline Martinez; twelve grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Maria I. Melendez, Griselda Martinez, Vivian Melendez, Juanita Melendez, and Maricela Melendez; three brothers, Fabian Melendez, Elias Melendez, and Alfredo Melendez; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
