MARIO CESAR DE LEON JR.
MCALLEN - Mario Cesar De Leon Jr., 70, entered eternal sleep on Saturday May 23, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mario was born December 31, 1949 to Mario Cesar and Santos De Leon. Mario was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War and in the Texas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Diana Laura De Leon.
Mario is survived by his wife, Marcela De Leon; four daughters, Diana Laura (Isaac) Martinez, Patricia Aide (Paul) Garza, Alma Alicia (L. Greg) Jimenez, Araceli Rubi De Leon; eight grandchildren, Katrina, Aaron, Anthony, Gabriella, Marcus, Jazmine, Alayna, and Charles; three siblings, Ana Hooper, Magda Silvia Palacios, and Alma Lydia Garza; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow Rio Grande Valley State Veteran Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
