Obituary of Palmira Crystal Fernandez

Edinburg- Palmira C. Fernandez, born on December 16, 1968, passed away on July 19, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Xavier Fernandez on July 4, 2014. She leaves behind her mother, Carmen Gonzalez; children, Andrea Abigail Fernandez, Xavier Fernandez, Jr., and Jonathan A. Fernandez. Pam was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a mentor and great friend to many. She had been battling leiomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer, since 2013. Even on the most difficult day, Pam never lost faith. Her courage and positive attitude was truly inspirational; she leaves behind a beautiful legacy. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 23rd 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00pm. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home of Edinburg.
