The first memory I have of Mrs. Pineda was when I first visited Mr. and Mrs. Pineda's church in Alamo Texas. I needed to talk to her and Mr. Pineda about a problem I was having. I vividly remember how attentive she was when I was conversing with her. She was calm when I wasn't. There was a certain confidence about her.
After getting to know Mrs. Pineda more this past year, I realize the type of person she was and the reason of why she was the way she was.
She was Christ-centered.
She had God-given inner strength.
She was a hard-working Soldier-of-God.
I want to thank God for allowing me the privilige of meeting her. Her ministry will continue through every person that knew her. She changed my life in such a short time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With love and admiration, Carlos.

I have many wonderful memories of my mom. She was one that loved the Lord, her family, and the hardest worker that I have ever known. Her love for the Lord only grew through the years. I remember seeing her read her Bible in the morning and at night. When I and my siblings were small, she read to us Bible stories - she always made it fun! My mom’s love for her family is best described as a bear robbed of her cubs. She cared for her husband, our dad, and us, her kiddos. She was such a worker that hated laziness with a passion. Thus, she taught us to work hard, and everything that we did to do it with the best of our ability, Why did she had to go is a puzzling question, but as her son, I wanted to give a response to this.
The Bible teaches that because Adam and Eve chose to listen to the devil rather than God this brought a world that would no longer be governed by God. Instead, man and woman lost the glory of God that covered them as garments and became sinners - separated from God. This my dear friend brought what we see - sin, death, violence, sickness, poverty, war, and etc. The devil became the “god of this world.” The Bible also says that “the whole world is under the sway of the devil.” When Jesus walked on the Earth, everywhere He went, He was healing the sick, casting out evil spirits, and proclaiming the Rule-ship (Kingdom) of God. The Bible says, “For this reason the Son of God was manifested into this world that He might destroy the works of the devil.
So why did my mom have to go? We live in a fallen world that is under the control of the devil. By Jesus dying on the cross, this paid the penalty of our sin to satisfy the justice of God. You see, though God is love and merciful, God cannot leave sin unpunished. He is holy (separated from sin) and just. Would you consider a judge fair if he condemned the innocent and did not condemn the one who committed the crime? Of course not. Therefore, in order for God, who is Just but loving and merciful, to bring man back to Himself, God gave His only begotten Son to die in your place on the cross. Wow! Only the mind of God could have planned the only way to be saved. Saved, you might ask? Saved because those who reject Jesus will face God one day to receive their just punishment for their sin - the lake of fire. God has provided the way for everyone to escape this judgement.
How then can we escape such a horrible place? By believing in the only Son of God. Believe that He is what He said - the Son of God that came from heaven. Know that the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross is the only way your sins can be forgiven. No one can be good enough to go to heaven. Our own good deeds are like dirty, stinking rags in the sight of God. Confess Him as your Lord. Give your life and heart to Him. God does not want a part of your life, He wants ALL of you. By asking Him to come to your life, He wants to fellowship with you, He wants to guide you, and mold your life where others will be attracted to want to know your “Jesus.” If this is the desire of your heart to make Him your Lord, then don’t wait! Tomorrow may never come and then it will be too late. Just tell Him, “Dear Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross to pay for the penalty of my sins. I ask that You forgive my sins, wash me with Your blood, and come into my heart. I confess You as my Lord and King. I ask that You touch much life and use it for Your glory, in Jesus name, Amen.“

My grandmama was probably the best person I ever knew. She helped raise me and my sister and loved us with all her heart. She meant so much to me that when I heard that she was sick I couldn’t really process it. Even though I knew how advanced it was I believed there was no chance for her to go. Her of all people. She lived for god and to serve him so why would he let this happen. I had talked to her the day before she passed. She sounded happy to hear me. Then I got the call... I don’t know why this happened to my grandmama but I choose to believe that god had a plan for her and wanted her to be up there in heaven with him. All I can do now is wait until I see her again in heaven. This picture was a hike that I took here in Alaska that I wanted to show her if she ever came up here. But I know that every hike I go on now she’ll be with me in spirit. Every hike I do now is for her. I love grandmama, rest in peace until I see you again.

My mom was my second best friend. I have many good memories we shared. One in particular was when I woke up early to go to work and found my mom reading the Bible and sharing it with others via text. That memory is still so vivid in my mind and one that has encouraged me to wake up early to spend time alone with the Lord.

This is my abuela . She was the most loving, beautiful, bravest person I knew. No matter what situation; she would be there for us , and would stand up for us . She feared nothing or no one , whatever she believed in she stood up for. God blessed us with her and now she’s happy and without pain with Him. ❤️
