MARIA ELVIA GONZALEZ
EDINBURG - Maria Elvia Gonzalez, 80, entered eternal sleep, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs. Gonzalez was preceded in death by her daughters, Nohelia Alonzo and Monica Gonzalez; her parents, Lorenzo and Ramona Garcia.
Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her husband, Filemon Gonzalez; three children, Gustavo (Victoria) Gonzalez, Ismelda (Aaron) Gonzalez Escobedo, Filemon (Edna) Gonzalez Jr.; eleven grandchildren, Mirinda, Yvette, Oscar Jr., Esmeralda, Gustavo II, Benjamin, Crystal, Andrew, Christina, Leylani, and Emmanuel; two siblings, Noe Manuel Garcia and Maria Guadalupe Zamora; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with at 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
