DAMIAN MATA

EDINBURG - Damian Mata, 92, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Edinburg. Mr. Mata is preceded in death by his wife, Manuela Mata; his granddaughter, Mary Lou Mata; his parents, Emeterio and Mariana Mata.

Mr. Mata is survived by his six children, Clementina (Urbano) Vera, Noe (Isabel) Mata, Marianita (Manuel) Elizondo, Maria M. (Ramon) Gonzalez, Eliseo (Narce Dalia) Mata, and David (Nereyda) Mata; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
