Obituary of Jose Javier Lopez

Jose Javier Lopez, 56, closed his eyes on this earth and opened them in his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on April 1st 2014. Javi lived his life to the fullest and family was always his top priority. Born in Mexico on March 31st, 1958, he came to the United States to be closer to his sons and daughters. Javi was a devout Christian and a great example to his children and grandchildren of what a man should be. Javi was preceded in death by parents, Nazario Lopez and Josefina Zuniga. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Josefina (Pedro) Izaguirre, Jonathon Lopez, Edgar Lopez, and Mitzi (Gabriel) Chavez. His grandchildren, Lizeth, Diann, Letty, Pedro IV, Edgar Jr., Laritza, Zaira, Alisson, and Matthew were his pride and joy. Javi enjoyed life and his favorite saying was "Que sigue la fiesta". He was a wonderful father, father-in-law, and grandfather. The family would like to thank McAllen Medical Center for their years of help and service and to Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility for the care and attention during his last days. The family received friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Cremation took place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral Services were entrusted to the care of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
