Obituary of Aida Reyna Medrano

McAllen, Texas

Aida Reyna Medrano,65, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 6, 2019 in Edinburg. Aida was born May 14, 1954 in Mission, Texas to Ricardo and Hermila (Rodriguez) Reyna. She was a long time resident of McAllen. For most of her life she was a child day care provider. She was a strong woman of faith and loved God and her family. Aida enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, loved going for long walks and loved to cook. Aida was united in marriage to Mr. Raul Medrano, an Army and Vietnam War era Veteran, for more than 40 years. Aida Reyna Medrano truly lived her life to its fullest.

Aida was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved family- husband Mr. Raul Medrano of McAllen children- Jessica Renee Medrano of Houston, Raul Medrano II of McAllen; daughter in law- Yolany Medrano; Her loving grandchildren-Thiago Medrano, Leila Medrano of McAllen; Her sisters Ismelda (Rene) Truan, Esmeralda (John) Roberson and niece Katherine Michelle Carmona from Houston.

 A gathering of family and friends will take place Monday, September 9, 2019 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service to begn at 7:00 PM to be officiated by Pastor Paul Pool. Final gathering will be Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the funeral home from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
