Psalm Chapter 91 Verse 1-16 “He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”
I don’t think that there is ever more clear moment than today of what the value of living is. What a blessing it is to breathe, laugh, and love among our family and friends. Living however also comes with tears, loss, and pain and these emotions seem to all stir when we gather to honor the memory of our loved ones.
It has been my experience that we do not see time as it is and its easy to put things off for another day. This is where we need to recognize that everyday of living is a miracle given by God and made clear through the teachings of Christ. We should not wait to say “I love you” or find the appropriate time to say “I’m sorry”. Today and everyday is the miracle we are given. Appreciate the moments we have with each other.
Ron, like us, was given the gift of breath from his mother and father. He went through the various stages of life, finding himself in roles of a son, teacher, friend, husband, father, and grandfather.
Acceptance of the role we play in life and the journey from one mountain to the valley is where to find peace. We can get lost on our travel but we can can look to God for direction and within the company of our loved ones. Let us give our blessings to Ron on finding his way home and the peace he has found in his homecoming.
John Chapter 14 Verse 2: “In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Ron, rest well in the company of our father and savior as we continue our own walk in this world.
