RAUL ZAVALA

MCALLEN - Raul Zavala, 64, went to be with our Lord, Monday June 24, 2019 in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Morelia, Mexico and formerly of Fort Worth, Texas he retired in McAllen. Mr. Zavala was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Zavala Sr.; two brothers, Jose and Benja Zavala; his sister, Ana Maria Willars.

Mr. Zavala was a brick mason and very active at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Worth. He was a hard working man who dedicated his life to his family. Raul was always helping those around him and has made a significant impact on all those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives. He was a constant source of support and encouragement striving to provide a wonderful life for his family.

Mr. Zavala is survived by his wife, Leticia Zavala; two sons, Paul and Alfonso Zavala; his daughter, Barbara (Marc) Monroe; his mother, Florentina Zavala; seven siblings, Espiridion Zavala, Benjamin Zavala, Christina (Juan) Ramirez, Lilia (Otto) Lopez, Sylvia (Karl) Nagi, Bertha Zavala, and Patricia (Alfonso) Rocha; 13 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday June 28, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 509 West Magnolia Ave in Forth Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Amara Hospice or Healthcare Unlimited Home Health.
