Our law enforcement men and women risk their lives on a daily basis. There is no routine traffic stop or routine response to a call for help. We thank our officers for keeping us safe and patrolling our neighborhoods, streets, and highways day and night. We thank their families for the sacrifice they have to make and for their suffering, pain and heartache when their loved one does not come home. Officer Jose "Speedy" Espericueta has made the ultimate sacrifice for our families. May he Rest in Peace and be in Heaven.

As I was reading the news on Friday am I couldn't believe it. I never meet Cpl Espericueta personally, but I'm an avid watcher of LIVE PD and I feel close to the officers that we see on the show, my heart felt heavy for his family so I just want to offer my sincere condolences for your loss. Something that helped me to get through something like this was to know that there is hope to see our loved ones again, in better circumstances than the ones we live on currently. John 5:28,29.

My heartfelt kondolences to officer Espericueta's parents, family, loved ones, friends, & fellow law enforcement personnel.
Our family experienced the same type of tragedy in '87 May.We lost our brother who was a U S Marine Corps military police & mca police, due to a rogue cop.
Seeing the events brought my painful memories & scars back. I'll have to deal with again.
Kindly do not dwell on the negative tragedy but honor & celebrate his life.
I pray the Almighty Grant You all HIS DIVINE PEACE to overcome grief.
Time is the best healer & living one day at a time.
I will lift your family up in prayer.
The entire Rio Grande Valley is with you & surely sends prayers & much love.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

My deepest condolences for the family, friends, neighbors, and especially his fellow officers and staff at Mission PD. I did not personally know him but vicariously got to know him from his fellow officers I met Friday night when we gathered together as well as Saturday. What I learned during my brief stay was that the Mission PD is truly a family as well as a dedicated and devoted department protecting and serving their community. I rarely find this in the many police departments & sheriff's office I have had the honor in serving and visiting in times of crisis and need. I learned that "Speedy" was willing to be there without question for his officers and did not allow his position to go to his head. It is with regret that I will not be able to attend the services this coming week but others from our South Texas Chapter of C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) will be present and "there for you".

I watched him on Live Pd and loved his character, the way he treated people and overall professionalism. I'm sorry for his families lost and his other family he worked with.
Nothing can replace him and nothing will bring him back. To that he will be looking over his wife and children and will be there in spirit. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
