Obituary of Pedro Rodriguez Jr.

PEDRO RODRIGUEZ JR.

PHARR -  Pedro Rodriugez Jr., 60, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Pharr surrounded by his family. Pedro was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Rodriguez; two brothers, Gabino and Alex E. Rodriguez.

Pedro was a very humble; down to earth man, who lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing pool, gardening, watching movies, and being on his phone or computer. He was the kind of man that if he saw you hurting, he'd care for you. If he saw you sad, he'd somehow make you smile. If you were down, he'd make you happy. He had his own personality that grew on you. He loved to drink on the weekends and enjoyed being with friends. He made sure everything was in order and was a responsible man. He loved going to the flea markets and garage sales. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and best of all grandfather. We are going to miss you dearly. May you rest in peace. 

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Aurora A. Rordriguez; five children, Joe J. (Rachel) Velez, Pedro (Janet) Rodriguez III, Jose C. Velez Jr., Miguel E. Velez, and Arianna P. Rodriguez; six grandchildren; father, Pedro Rodriguez Sr.; seven siblings, Ruth (Gavino) Villescas, Edgardo Rodriguez, Dickson (Melissa) Rodriguez, Homero (Michelle) Rodriguez, Iris E. (Hector) Renteria, Roosevelt Rodriguez, and Morgan Rodriguez; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday May 26, 2019 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday May 27, 2019 at St. Annes Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Edgar, Dickson, Jeremy, Pedro, Jose, Miguel, Arianna, and Samantha.
