Obituary of Jorge Luis Vega

JORGE LUIS VEGA

ALTON - Jorge Luis Vega, 65, went to be with our Lord, Saturday May 18, 2019 in Alton surrounded by his family. Born in China, N.L., Mexico and formerly of Pharr he had lived in Alton for the past 12, years. Mr. Vega was preceded in death by his father, Leandro Vega; his brother, Benito Vega.

Mr. Vega is survived by his wife, Maria O. Vega; five children, Alicia M. (Orlando) Perez, Nubia (Ramiro) Gonzalez, Jorge L. Vega, Efrain A. (Mireya) Vega, and Arnoldo J. (Vasty) Vega; 14 grandchildren; his mother, Maria Alicia Vega; nine siblings, Maria Guadalupe (Gilberto) Lugo, Rosa Elia Vega, Juan Antonio (Martha) Vega, Jose Orlin Vega, Blanca Alicia (Sergio Gilberto) Gonzalez, Leandro Jaime (Olga) Vega, Porfirio (Emilia) Vega, Sonia Aide (Pedro) Vega, and Martina (Benito) Garcia; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Saturday May 18, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Sunday May 19, 2019, at Legacy Chapels. Chapel Service will be at 12:00 p.m.  Monday May 20, 2019, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Santa Fe Celestial Cemetery in Mission.
