My heart breaks for the family and my niece & nephew. My prayers are with each and everyone of them right now ..He was such a GREAT dad , husband and grandpa and great person all around. He took good care of his family , you could see the tremendous love he had for them and was always so welcoming of us and always made us laugh. My son even got to have great memories with him. He’s truly going to be missed ..RIP to our Benny bear .

I feel extremely blessed to have known Bernardo, even if it for such a short time, we came to know each when my young daughter met his son and they started living together, we had several get togethers, bbq’s, holidays that they graciously invited us over, he was always smiling, he had a sense of humor not everyone has and both him and his wife always made us feel welcomed, I knew he was an amazing grandfather from how I saw him interacting with his grandchildren, I also saw the sacrifices he made for his family, how he fathered his children and was never ok with was not right, showing he was a fair and just person standing for what was right, I left out of the state short after and I worried about my young daughter, being a young mother but she often told me that Mr.Ayala would always call and check on her and her children, that would bring me the peace of mind I needed, so from the very beginning my daughter had the love and support of this wonderful kind hearted man and continued to his last days...He stood strong throughout his battle with his Illness and he fought til the end, I’m praying that this brought unity to his beautiful family and they reassured each other the love they had for one another..for God is Love and that’s what He wants from us...Mr. Ayala you will be missed and I’m sorry I never got to thank you for being a wonderful and loving grandpa to my babies... That now you have reunited with our Heavenly Father and be rejoicing in Paradise❤️

Sorry for your loss. I worked with this man in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a pleasure to work with and I was sadden to hear that he had passed. I know that I can not offer the right words to make things easier but I am sure he has gone to be with the Lord!
