Obituary of Francisco Flores

Edinburg- Francisco Reyna Flores, 81, departed to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on December 21st 2013 in McAllen, Texas. He was born in Mission, Texas on May 23rd 1932 to Francisco and Clara Flores, the second eldest of six children. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tony Flores and a daughter, Mary Alice Compton. Frank worked for 21 years as a self-employed businessman in the auto salvage industry/trucking business. He also owned Kico's Lounge/ Ballroom in Phoenix, Arizona in the late 1960's. He was loved by everyone he met. He was hardworking, generous, and loved life. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary R. Flores, his children; Diana F. Coker (Lloyd), Elaine Flores, Carolina Flores, Rebecca Atencio, Norma Flores, Susan Gonzalez (Romel), Frank Flores III., and a son from a previous marriage, Armando Flores. Frank also leaves behind his siblings: Santos Flores (Severa), Socorro Banda (Ernesto), Alicia Montemayor (Gonzalo) and Abel Flores. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 26th 2013 between the hours of three o'clock in the afternoon and nine o'clock in the evening at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. A service will take place at seven o'clock in the evening and can be viewed online at www.legacychapelsrgv.com. Funeral Mass will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, December 27th 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Burial Services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
