IRENE "NENA" RODRIGUEZ

EDINBURG - Irene "Nena" Rodriguez, 77, went to be with our Lord, Friday, May 3, 2019, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in San Juan, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Ms. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, Ruperto and Carmel Rodriguez; three brothers, Moises, Refugio, and Noe Rodriguez; her sister, Marcelina Gonzales.

Ms. Rodriguez is survived by her nine children, Hilario Rodriguez, Jose Ruben (Lety) Cavazos, Jesus (Elizabeth) Barrientes, Felipe Barrientes, Pablo (Gloria) Barrientes, Julio (Liza) Rodriguez, Jose Alberto (Lillian) Barrientes, Jessica (Richard) Gonzales, and Sylvia Morales; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ruperto Rodriguez, III, and Ramirio Rodriguez; two sisters, Eva Garcia, and Olivia Navarro; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, May 6, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
