Obituary of Alfredo C. Garcia

Alfredo C. Garcia, born on July 14th 1942, in Mercedes Texas to Marcelo and Dorotea Garcia, passed away on Wednesday, March 26th 2014 at his residence in Edinburg. Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Marcelo Garcia, Jr. He is survived by his caring and devoted wife, Heidy Garcia, five children: Major Alfredo Garcia, Jr. (Joelle) of Dallas, Staff Sergeant Alberto (Sharon) Garcia of Dallas, LTC. Jesus Garcia stationed in Germany, Raquenel Garcia- Burris (Jess) of San Antonio and Alejandro Garcia of Edinburg; five sisters, Maria Wison (Wiliam), Minnie Arguelles (Fernando), Elida Ward (Jeff), Hilda Garcia Ruiz (Eduardo), and Gloria Vela (late Pedro). Friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, March 30th, 2014 between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. A prayer service will be at 2:00 pm and can be viewed online at www.legacychapelsrgv.com. A chapel service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Legacy Chapels. Interment with full military honors will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg, TX.
