MARIA DELIA VELA

EDINBURG - Maria Delia Vela, 58, went to be with our Lord, went to be with our Lord, Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in McAllen. Born in San Juan she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Ms. Vela was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Guadalupe and Julia Ibarra; her brother, Daniel Ibarra.

Ms. Vela is survived by her former husband, Julio S. Vela, Jr.; eight siblings, Julia Ibarra, Jose Guadalupe "Bobby" Ibarra Jr., Dalia Ibarra, Jesus Ibarra, Sally Ibarra, Sandy Ibarra, and Leroy Ibarra; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date.
