Obituary of Rebecca Muniz

REBECCA MUNIZ

MCALLEN - Rebecca "Becky" Rocha Muniz daughter of the late Celestino and Agustina Rocha, born on April 28th, 1954 in McAllen, Texas; passed on April 9th, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 64.

On April 30th, 1983, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Pedro Muniz, father of Olga Garza, Norma(Santos) Hernandez, Dalila Olguin, Nelly Muniz and Peter Muniz and grandfather of 10 grandchildren.

Becky worked as a care giver for many years in nursing homes and then in her home. 

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her loyal husband and children: DiDi(Rolando)Vazquez of Rexburg, Idaho, Priscilla Muniz(James Garcia), Ali Muniz and Donnie Muniz all of McAllen, Texas and 4 grandsons: Donali, Jadan, Payson and Alexander Vazquez.

She is further survived by her siblings: Marty Rocha, Linda Garcia, Rolando Rocha, Rene Rocha, Norma Gunts, Roel Rocha, Rosie Rocha and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Willie, Arturo and Sergio Rocha and her sisters Lupe Watson and Socorro Reyes and step daughters: Norma Hernandez and Nelly Muniz.

She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

Viewing will be on Thursday, April 11 at 3:00pm for immediate family and 5:00pm for the public. Rosary will follow at 7:00 pm Becky's celebration of life service will be on Friday, April 12 at 9:00am at
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church

She will be laid at her final resting place at La Piedad Cemetery, 1801 Wichita Ave, McAllen, TX 78503.
