Obituary of Domingo Lira "Jun" Chua Jr.

Domingo Lira “Jun” Chua Jr., 72, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Batangas City, Philippines.  He had lived in the Rio Grande Valley for more than 20 years. Domingo is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Chua Sr. and Genoveva Lira.

Domingo or “Jun” loved cars, motorcycles, 4x4 trucks, going to the shooting range and most of all, flea markets. He enjoyed visiting his home country from time to time. He loved to sing and everybody admired him for that. He loved and cared for his family’s dogs and cats. He was a devoted and loving husband, supportive and loving father and caring friend. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Chua is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Rosario; sons, Domingo “Dodjie” and Gerry; daughter, Geneve “Princess”; in-laws, Eva, Tess and Poppen; grandchildren, Don, Margery, Jerry; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended De Claro family. 

Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday March 9, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 501 E. Kuhn Ave., in Edinburg.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday March 9, 2019, and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday March 10, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road Edinburg.
