Juan A. Castillo, age 55, passed away at his home in McAllen after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 19, 2019. He was born August 19, 1963 in Pharr, TX to Guadalupe and Teresa (Ramirez) Castillo. Juan was a graduate of PSJA High and TSTC in Harlingen. He was a remarkable person, a husband, father, son, brother, and friend who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to others without expecting anything in return. He was an avid outdoorsman and friend to all. Juan is survived by his parents, Guadalupe and Teresa; wife, Virginia; sons and daughters, Johnny, Eric, Angie and Lisa; brothers Guadalupe (Diana) and Jorge (Josephine) Castillo; sister, Maricela (Kevin) Politte; grandchildren Tristan, Savannah, Avery and Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass service in honor of Juan will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 505 S. Ironwood St., Pharr, TX. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 27 at 5:00 PM at Legacy Chapels Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., Edinburg, TX.
