LAURIE F. GONZALEZ

HOUSTON, TX - Laurie F. Gonzalez, 53, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at her residence in Houston. Laurie was born on July 24, 1965, in East Chicago, Indiana to Robert Veg and Olivia Paez. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Veg.

A few of Laurie’s many talents were cooking and mastering the art of baking. Laurie had a sense of humor for days. She loved to joke, craft, bar-b-que, and watch television & movies. Laurie’s pride and joy was her family. Laurie was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. She will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Javier Vargas; her children, Alimah Shae Graulich, Damian Gonzalez, Katrina Vargas, Michael Vargas, and Javier Vargas Jr; her mother, Olivia Paez; siblings, Karen Eick, Gustavo(Gus) Paez, Iris Moreno; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
