It was a little over a year ago, Claudette was at the Heart Hospital and she was truly suffering. We were so very worried about her. Scared to loss her, scared of all the pain she was in, scared for her period! I was headed over to the hospital for a visit after work - I gave her a call before coming. I always did, so that I could hear her lovely voice and ask if she needed anything. She says to me, "Yvette, before you head over, I need a few things ... I need bags of candy". I was surly puzzled, but did not hesitate because she rarely asked for anything! So, off I go to Target to gather bags of candy ... I'm thinking to myself, "my pal is really in bad shape if all she wants and needs is candy"!!!! Not to my surprise, or yours either, she needed the candy for the hospital staff that was taking such good care of her. That was our Claudette!!! Never worried for herself, but always concerned for others. Needless to say the staff adored her!!!! Who didn't, I ask! She touched my life in many ways, but the most loving thing that she taught me was to be gracious and ALWAYS!!!! God is so lucky to have her with him. I'm sure he has never been so charmed, never laughed so hard and never heard so lovely a voice!!!! God bless our Claudette.
